I hadn't noticed this one before but I really like it. I hope you won't be offended by this but it sort of reminds me of this creepy little story in one of those horror comic books that I read as a kid. in the story, these people get lured into a gated garden at night and then get eaten by a group of ghastly man-eating plants. the stems and leaves winded around the victims, something like the sinewy extensions in your painting here. the heads had faces with jagged teeth. just how the people in the story mistook this for your typical English Rose garden, I'll never know, but it was a cool set of illustrations. obviously, it had some resonance for me.
